In April 2019, an idea led to the first prototype of our #PeriodBalm at the Wieslauf Pharmacy. What started as a small passion project gradually evolved into a true success story. Today – several years and many ups and downs later – the circle closes: Our #Lovetann Period Balm has returned to its origin.
From Prototype to Product Innovation
After the first attempt, many more prototypes followed. We tested, discarded, improved – always with the goal of developing a natural and hormone-free product to give glow in everyday life to all women during their period. In 2019, we were ahead of our time with this idea, and there was no comparable product yet. We were able to utilize the highly professional mixing machines at the pharmacy. But technology alone wasn't everything: the expertise of pharmacists and gynecologists was incorporated into the development from the very beginning – with a noticeable effect. Our formula improved with each iteration, becoming more effective and better tailored to women's needs. In addition to practical know-how, various studies accompanied us. The findings strengthened our path and showed: The demand is there. The feedback was clear – we were on the right track. And yet: The path to market readiness was no walk in the park, as none of us had previously worked in the cosmetics industry.
But our dream lived on. The vision of creating a marketable product never left us. With every challenge, our will to make a difference grew. Finally, we took the next step and brought our balm to an experienced cosmetic laboratory, which brought it to serial production – with familiar quality, but in professional packaging and compliant with all EU regulations.

What has always been important to us over the years: Our values. We have stayed true to ourselves. Our Period Balm is natural, hormone-free, and yet stylish with soothing ingredients and gentle on the skin.
Welcome Back to Wieslauf Pharmacy
And today? Today we are simply proud. Because our balm is back where it all began: in the Wieslauf Pharmacy. A special moment – not just for us, but also for the traditional pharmacy, founded in 1914, taken over by Eugen Birzele in 1960, and lovingly rebuilt after the dramatic flood in 2024. Today it shines in new splendor – and we are proud to be a part of it.
